Sparrow International supports Department of Homeland Security Blue Campaign

We assist in our social corporate responsibility in Identifying, reporting, and coordinating extraction of victims of human trafficking with local and federal law enforcement.
The Blue Campaign is a national public awareness initiative by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) designed to combat human trafficking. Launched in 2010, it educates the public, law enforcement, and industry partners to recognize, report, and prevent forced labor and sexual exploitation, ultimately aimed at supporting survivors and bringing traffickers to justice.
- Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration Programs for Trafficked Immigrants and Return Home to Come Back Through Proper ChannelsThe Department of Homeland Security (DHS) provides several immigration programs for victims of trafficking and other crimes. These programs include:
- U Nonimmigrant Status (U Visa): For victims of certain qualifying criminal activities, including human trafficking, who are helpful in the investigation or prosecution of the qualifying criminal activity. U nonimmigrants can remain and work in the U.S. for up to 4 years and may be eligible for a Green Card. 2
- T Nonimmigrant Status (T Visa): For victims of severe forms of trafficking in persons who have assisted law enforcement in an investigation or prosecution of human trafficking. T nonimmigrants can remain and work in the U.S. for up to 4 years and may be eligible for a Green Card. 2
- Continued Presence: A temporary immigration designation for victims of severe forms of trafficking in persons who may be potential witnesses. Continued Presence allows trafficking victims to lawfully remain in the U.S. temporarily and work during the investigation into the human trafficking-related crimes committed against them. 2
- Self-Petition: Under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), victims of domestic abuse who are close relatives of U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents can file for status on their own without the abuser’s knowledge, consent, or participation. 1
These programs aim to protect and empower trafficking survivors, providing them with a path to safety and a chance to rebuild their lives while aiding law enforcement in combating trafficking. 3 3 Sources
